The Poppy Family - Poppy Seeds mp3 flac

referencing Poppy Seeds, LP, Album, Unofficial, LM-2454. this unofficial release from taiwan has no regular cardboard cover, but a very bad copied, folded paper wrapper. the quality of the record itself is surprisingly good in terms of the "cover", i heard no difference between this and the canadian pressing. the titles are written in english, but around the label and on the bottom of the back are some taiwanese signs.

Poppy Seeds, released in 1971, was the second and final studio album from Vancouver, British Columbia band The Poppy Family. The album has yet to be released on modern formats and remains a rare vinyl. Singles released from the album were "Where Evil Grows," "I Was Wondering," "No Good to Cry" (previously a minor 1966 hit by The Wildweeds), "Good Friends?," and "I'll See You There. Where Evil Grows" was the album's biggest hit, reaching in Canada and in the United States.

The Poppy Family was a Canadian pop music group, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. They had a number of international hit records in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Seventeen-year-old Susan Pesklevits met Terry Jacks in the mid-1960s when he appeared as a guest on the national teen TV show Music Hop where she was a regular performer. She later called Jacks to accompany her on rhythm guitar for one of her live appearances

Poppy Seeds from the Poppy Family is an album of lightweight pop music from happier times, and has its moments. Of the 12 tunes here, half are written by Terry Jacks, and though the outside material consists of outstanding choices, this album's best moments are when Susan Jacks interprets husband/producer Terry's compositions.
