It is a cliche to say that New Age is the perfect music to wash dishes by. In contrast, Last Home could serve as the soundtrack of a war. The violent interplay between Caspar Brotzmann's acid rock guitar feedback (which often sounds like three guitars) and Peter Brotzmann's bass sax, tenor, clarinet and tarogato on this duo encounter at first is quite jarring. However frequent playing of the CD (it if does not drive one nuts) reveals a logic to the free improvisations.
