I will strip away all that you know, all that you love, until you have no shelter but m. The Darkling, Ruin and Rising. The Darkling, also known as Aleksander Morozova, is the mysterious Grisha leader. The Darkling is described as a tall handsome young man, appearing not much older than Alina despite his ancient age. He has ink black hair, quartz gray eyes, and sharp, beautiful features. He is also described as being able to "pass" as Shu; he possibly has mixed ancestry.

The Release of the Soul The debut album of Greek Ocean of Grief is not only dark and powerful, but also melodic and highly atmospheric. Inspired by bands like Enshine, the band walks its very own path of Sorrow and Doom. Pido Mélancolie mélodique, Enivrantes montées de guitare, flux gutturaux percutants, batterie implacablement livrée au rythme des galériens. Cet album est une somme, une réussite et une dépendance.

Two years after releasing their debut album Dutch folk-rockers The Black Atlantic have released their new EP Darkling, I Listen. The five songs offer a wide array of elements and in fluences, from Phil Spector-esque orchestrated chamber pop to 60s Motown soul sensibilities. It also takes informed cues from current indie epitomes such as Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes, and Bon Iver. From the near classical guitar intro of the opening, brooder-song "The Aftermath", it is clear that 'Darkling, I Listen' is a much different sonic animal than the intimate, and mostly acoustic, affair of The Black Atlantic's debut album 'Reverence for Fallen Trees. Clocking in at 23 minutes and 23 seconds, 'Darkling' contains five fully sculpted songs with a wide array of elements and influences, from 70's psychedelic folk-rock to Phil Spector-esque orchestrated chamber pop and 60's Motown soul sensibilities.

Come Lord, and lift the fallen bird Abandoned on the ground; The soul bereft and longing so To have the lost be found. The heart that cries-let it but hear Its sweet love answering, Or out of ether one faint note Of living comfort wring. When beauty breaks and falls asunder I feel no grief for it, but wonder. When love, like a frail shell, lies broken, I keep no chip of it for token. The Darkling Thrush by Thomas Hardy. I leant upon a coppice gate When Frost was spectre-gray, And Winter's dregs made desolate The weakening eye of day. The tangled bine-stems scored the sky Like strings of broken lyres, And all mankind that haunted nigh Had sought their household fires.
