Profile of the performer Jan Peerce: Jan Peerce (June 3, 1904 – December 15, 1984) was an American operatic tenor. He is the father of film director Larry Peerce. The American tenor Jan Peerce was born in a New York cold water flat in the Lower East Side, where he lived until marriage. He attended De Witt Clinton High School and Columbia University.
