Indexi - Gold 1+2 mp3 flac
The second part of "Gold" set is much less prominent in terms of progressive music. As a matter of fact, this collection shows quite an opposite side of INDEXI - that of a pure pop band. Some songs from "Gold 2" cannot be even considered "rock" but rather easy listening pop, known under the term "schlager music". There are few interesting moments though: a symphonic ballad "Bacila je sve niz rijeku", an epic prog "Modra rijeka" from their eponymous studio album, then probably the only attempt of INDEXI to make a hard/heavy metal song.
Indexi led two parallel careers: the one as a popular band recording numerous singles and EPs, and performing at the pop festivals of easy listening schlager music; and the other one as a pioneering progressive band, which had recorded allegedly the first song lasting over 10 minutes in former Yugoslavia, Negdje na kraju u zatisju in 1969. At the beginning of the 70s they released the legendary Plima single in 1972, a composition that had been recorded back in 1968 and featured one of the most memorable guitar solos in the Yugoslavian rock-scene, courtesy of Kovacevic.

Music recording certification is a system of certifying that a music recording has shipped, sold, or streamed a certain number of units. The threshold quantity varies by type (such as album, single, music video) and by nation or territory (see List of music recording certifications). Almost all countries follow variations of the RIAA certification categories, which are named after precious materials (gold, platinum and diamond).
My first impression of the album wasn't that great. The songs alternated bewtween two styles. The odd-numbered songs featured shredding speedy power metal guitars, machine gun drums and a vocalist who sounded like what Geddy Lee might have sounded like in the early days if he was on amphetemines and removed the tight rubber band from his testicles (. this guy screams more in the tenor range than the soprano). Indexi (74), Indexi (77), Modra Rijeka (78). Interesting organ-based prog. Modra Rijeka features narration on a couple of tracks, but fortunately it doesn't go overboard.
