Lock Up - Pleasures Pave Sewers mp3 flac
Pleasures Pave Sewers . 1999. Pleasure pave sewers slaves Pleasure pave liars snakes Pleasure pave sewers slaves Pleasure pave master fakes Pushed to breaking To think and breed and feel the same Suppressed by shadows Of who and what we shouldn't be Twisted lairs Debating lives as currency Treacherous visions Perfecting what should never be We fall to our knees To crawl before pain's altar Choked.
Pleasures Pave Sewers is the debut album of grindcore band Lock Up, a side project of Napalm Death, featuring Peter Tägtgren on vocals. According to engineer Andy Sneap, the album was recorded in a day and was never mixed. According to Shane Embury, the origins of the project go back to the time Napalm Death were working on the Words from the Exit Wound album. In 2010 he told Kerrang!: "After Life in Purgatory" (2:08). Triple Six Suck Angels" (2:58).

Lock Up's Pleasures Pave Sewers. Lock Up consists of: Shane Embury (of Napalm Death) - Bass Peter Tgtgren (of Hypocrisy) - Vocals Jesse Pintado (of Napalm Death) - Guitars Nicholas Barker (of Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir) - Drums. This album spans over thirteen tracks, but only lasts for just over twenty-nine minutes. This is pretty typical of a grindcore band, as most songs are between one and two minutes in length. The fans of hardcore punk will probably like this alot, but I bet that some metal fans would probably like for the songs to be a bit longer. This is what shows the hardcore influences in the band, and it's not really that big of a problem. Out of all the things that you could listen to on this album, the thing that I find the most enjoyable would be the guitar riffs.
With the array of big-name talent here, one might expect the resulting project to turn out nothing short of brilliant, but Pleasures Pave Sewers simply wasn't set up to be that kind of album in the first place. Rather, it's about raw spontaneity, the seeming effortlessness with which a quartet of topnotch death metal veterans can enter a studio, prepare themselves only minimally, and still come up with a blistering, overpowering sonic force that distills the music down to its brutal essence.
