Trevor Horn discovered Frankie Goes To Hollywood shortly after creating his record company ZTT when he saw the band performing "Relax" and "Two Tribes" on a Channel 4 show called The Tube. Why don't you sign them up?" Horn didn't think much about them until months later when he heard them again on BBC Radio 1 DJ David Jensen's radio show. 5) The group caused further controversy on the Welcome To The Pleasuredome album by having an impersonator mimic Prince Charles talking about orgasms! 6) The song features on the soundtrack of the Police Academy movie (it was still in the US chart at the time the movie came out). 7) The song has been re-released twice (1994/2000) in remix form. It was written in 1982 after frontman Holly Johnson got the song’s basic idea while on his way to band practice. Producer and owner of ZTT Records Trevor Horn was first exposed to FGTH performing Relax on Britain’s Channel 4’s show The Tube, but didn’t sign them until hearing it again later on DJ David Jensen’s radio show on BBC Radio 1. Horn recorded FGTH performing Relax but was not satisfied, so he recorded a second version with Ian Dury’s backing band The Blockheads.

Frankie Goes to Hollywood, United Kingdom, Liverpool - England. Band Members: Holly Johnson (vocals), Mark O'Toole (bass guitar), Brian Nash (guitar), Peter Gill (drums) and Paul Rutherford (backing vocals). If you like to hear different tracks of relax then this is the CD for you. It was interesting how one song can be the same sound but done so differently with some beats useing bongo drums. Very toe tapping CD and I enjoy it very much.
