The greenhouse effect is the process by which radiation from a planet's atmosphere warms the planet's surface to a temperature above what it would be without its atmosphere. If a planet's atmosphere contains radiatively active gases (. greenhouse gases) they will radiate energy in all directions.
The greenhouse effect happens when certain gases-known as greenhouse gases-collect in Earth’s atmosphere. These gases include carbon dioxide (CO2), methane, nitrous oxide (N2O), fluorinated gases, and ozone. Greenhouse gases let the sun’s light shine onto the Earth’s surface, but they trap the heat that reflects back up into the atmosphere. In this way, they act like the glass walls of a greenhouse. This greenhouse effect keeps the Earth warm enough to sustain life
Greenhouse Effect Global Warming. Greenhouse Effect Going Legit. Greenhouse Effect Re-Education.
Cause Of Greenhouse Effect. The atmosphere of earth protects us from a number of things, including extreme cold. It acts like a woolen coat, which helps the world keep warm and above the freezing point. The heat from sun passes through the atmosphere before reaching the interiors of the earth. Some of this heat is trapped by the atmosphere, while the rest escapes into space. Greenhouse effect is the case in which the atmosphere traps more of the heat than what it normally does. The result of this effect is increase in the temperatures on earth.
Greenhouse effect and global warming are terms that children must be listening everyday in the school, news, books, et. but may not be knowing their actual meaning and their effects. Therefore, especially for kids, the following article explains the greenhouse effect in a simple manner. Last Updated: Feb 24, 2018. As we know, a greenhouse is a small glass house employed to grow plants, especially in winter.
