Archie Bell & The Drells – Old People lyrics. Old Man, don’t you worry Somebody gonna take care of you Sweet old lady, don’t you worry Somebody is watching over you. Don’t know when you’re growin’ old You’re in the prime of your life Why believe everything you’re told About you can’t do this, no you can’t do that When you know you can do anything.

Archie Bell & the Drells was an American R&B vocal group from Houston, Texas, and one of the main acts on Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff's Philadelphia International Records

Unlike the Archie Bell & the Drells anthologies that preceded it, Let's Groove: The Archie Bell & the Drells Story covers the entirety of the group's '60s and '70s discography, from the number one soul and pop single "Tighten Up" through the undervalued, sophisticated disco-funk highlights of the full-length Strategy. Those who know little beyond "Tighten Up," "I Can't Stop Dancing" (their only other Top Ten pop hit), "(There's Gonna Be A) Showdown," and "Let's Groove" may be surprised by the depth of Bell and the Drells' material as it smoothly evolved across 13 years. In some cases, such as the sublime "Don't Let Love Get You Down" and "Where Will You Go When the Party's Over," the album cuts and non-charting singles outclassed much of what was aired on Top 40 radio.

Archie Bell (born in Henderson, Texas on September 1, 1944) & the Drells were a Houston soul vocal group, one of the main acts on Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff's Philadelphia International Records. The band's hits include "Tighten Up" and "I Can't Stop Dancing" (both 1968), "The Soul City Walk" (1976), and "Everybody Have A Good Time" (1977).
