Ministry - Animositisomina mp3 flac

Complete your Ministry collection. A nice version of the album. Undoubtedly remastered, even it is from a digital source (most likely WAV files).

The album's title is a palindrome made of the word "animosity" spelled without the final letter and both forward and backward. According to an interview on Fuse's Uranium, Jourgensen was bored at the time he was coming up with an album title

Listen free to Ministry – Animositisomina (Animosity, Unsung and more). It is the group's first studio album and second overall release through Sanctuary Records, following the live album Sphinctour. The title is a palindrome, made of the word "animosity" spelled without the final letter and both forward and backward. It is also very similar to Aoxomoxoa, which is an album by the Grateful Dead

A nice version of the album. Undoubtedly remastered, even it is from a digital source (most likely WAV files). Not as much top end treble sound as the original CD release, which was, let's face it, terribly produced, - as much as I love the album. This is a much more balanced sound with the bass and lyrics clearer. With digital skips gone from the disastrous miss-press, it's probably as close to the how the album was supposed to sound as you'll get.
I received this pressing as a replacement direct from Plastic Head Distribution after contacting Let Them Eat Vinyl to notify them of the issues I had experienced with their first pressing. The skipping issues have been corrected, though my copy has a dimple towards the end of the fade-out on C2 which causes a loud sound on each rotation. An understandable imperfection that I can more easily overlook than the embarrassing issues with the previous pressing.I found the communication with PH and LTEV to be prompt and friendly. They said they expected corrected copies mid-July and shipped my copy on July 10th.
How do you get your replacement copy? Can't find any information about a recall.
It turns out it has been re-issued after all. Mine arrived in the mail today directly from the label. It's also on discogs now too https://www.discogs.com/Ministry-Animositisomina/release/12278603
No replacement unfortunately. I originally contacted the label when it was released and was apparently the first to inform them of the issue. They advised me that there would be a recall and replacement. However, they then went silent about it and ignored other people contacting them, from what I have read online.
my copy have several "digital"skips mostly in the last 2 songs. let them eat vinyl sucks.
same here, "digital" skips mostly in the last 2 songs
Same here... Fuck that. Please keep us informed if someone manage to reach them to get a replacement or some kind of refund at least in the future. I'll try.
adventure time
Same here. Tried to contact Let Them Eat Vinyl without any luck. Sounds like broken cd/cd player.
yeah same, Skips. It definitely has been remastered. But from the CD
Ouch. I wouldn't expect any less from that label and Back on Black, who are both under the same flag as Plastichead. I saw a copy in the UK and the artwork is the usual blurry, pixelated mess, taken from the CD-sized artwork and zoomed in.And it wouldn't surprise me if they use the original CD as their master on LP. Same goes for Sphinctour and Houses of the Mole.
imo the last real good ministry work. With Barker leaving Ministry he took the psychedelic side of ministry with him. Houses of the móle was not bad either, but offensive to the core. Animositisomina is artistically way more sophisticated and durable interesting to listen to. Though it sounds a bit related to Filth pig.
ah... what? reissue please...
Anyone know why there was no vinyl release of this?Hopefully MOV add this to their list of re-issued.
Out today Animositisomina, Houses of the Mole and Sphinctour from Let them Eat Vinyl
And a double LP version is coming soon from Let Them Eat Vinyl (subsidiary of Plastichead and Back On Black).
Certainly copyright problems: this one and the Sphinctour live were issued by Sanctuary Records, unlike their previous albums which were all reissued. Perhaps Sphinctour was not meant to have a reissue anyway, the live In Case didn't get one anyway, but it's rather strange Dark Side was reissued and not this one, both albums are the only ones originally available on CD only... Let's hope.
A number of copies were autographed by Al and Paul and sold via the 13th Planet online store
As a bit of an amateur audiophile, I was quite excited to see this album available in DVD-Audio, 5.1 surround sound form. Mr. Haynes' 5.1 mix starts out great with "Animosity". Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The rest of the songs seem lazily put together, with seemingly no difference between playing this vs. playing the stereo version in "surround mode". Some may think that this genre of music does not lend itself well to the multichannel format. However, with the Jourgensen/Barker tendency toward experimentation, it can and does work here. Just listen to "Animosity" in surround, and you'll know what I mean. It's unfortunate that the same effort given to the first track was not given to the rest of the album.
Animositisomina is not boring. It's a masterpiece in an otherwise dead scene. This record shows that Ministry still has the balls to make original and very clever industrial music. They have never compromised with their sound and this still shows after 20 years or so of being in the 'business'.
