Boogie Shoes" was part of the second (self-titled) KC & The Sunshine Band album, released in 1975. It was used as the B-side of the "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty" single in 1976, but got its biggest audience when it was used in the 1977 movie Saturday Night Fever and featured on the soundtrack. In 1978, with all things Fever dominating the chart, it was released as a single, reaching in the US. Taken from their 1975 triple platinum self-titled album, KC and the Sunshine Band, "Boogie Shoes" appeared on the movie soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever in 1977. It was released as a single in 1978 and did moderately well on the charts, and has been featured in several other films as well as television series over the years. Although the band is known for their funk and R&B styles, KC (Harry Wayne Casey) and his band, put out several chart topping hits that helped shaped the sound of what became known as Disco.
